Ray-Ban Flagship
Creating an experience, not just a store.
CallisonRTKL partnered with Ray-Ban to develop the brand’s flagship store based on the “Agora Concept.” Drawn from the ancient Greek concept, the Agora is a place of community gatherings and sharing. This design concept was ultimately chosen for its simplicity and flexibility. It creates a retail space that establishes a connection to a location and its community, while also creating a physical manifestation of the brand.
Now referred to as “The Hub,” the Ray-Ban flagship is “part store, part music hall, part artist exhibit, part community cultural haven, part creative expression center, part whatever you make it and more.” As a strong brand with major ties to popular culture, Ray-Ban wanted to link all these channels, giving them a space in which to converge. Upon entry to the retail space, visitors are greeted by an event board, communicating that the space is more than just a classic store.
