A Look Back at Lnd Lab
Last month, a select group of RTKL-ers traveled to London to participate in the 2013 Design Conference. This long-standing tradition brings together RTKL’s up-and-coming designers from around the globe and gives them a chance to network and engage beyond their own offices. At the conference, they participate in thought-provoking lectures, discussions, and tours that relate to design and culture at RTKL.
This year, London became a laboratory for participants. The goal was to help define Performance Driven Design (PDD) and identify the best way to integrate it into RTKL’s mission. The team spent four days measuring, testing, recording and reacting to the following questions: Can we measure the value of a city or our experience? Can we apply this knowledge to create more valuable outcomes? Can this process feed back into our own practices to create a richer creative environment?
